MIDIAN Unit Web Page Template

This is a draft template you can use to develop pages for the MIDIAN web. It will be updated as the Style Guide develops to provide a consistant look and feel for MIDIAN web pages.

To Use this Template

1. Copy the template to your working directory
2. Open the template in your favorite editor and delete the text you don't want
3. Insert your own title, page heading, and text
4. Save the file with a new name ending in .html
5. Test your document

Tips on Writing Web Pages

• Every web page should have both a title and a page heading
• The title and page heading should be similar or even identical
• Give the status of your document if it's important (for example, DRAFT)
• Try to make page titles and text independent of earlier pages in a document--readers might come in at any point
• Keep pages short to decrease time to load and the need to scroll
• Use graphics to enhance usability and not just for looks--they increase time to load and are not available on all platforms

Participate in Midian Shrine functions, or other functions as the Potentate and/or Unit Officers shall direct, especially to promote fun and good will to crippled, burned, or handicapped children.

WHAT WE DO

Maneuver our Go Carts at Shrine approved parades.
Participate in Central States Shrine Association events
Parades for Midian


HOW DO YOU JOIN

ASK for a Membership Petition from any member or
contact the Unit Secretary. Complete the Petition and turn it in to
the Unit Secretary.

Undergo a brief personal interview, probably at your home, at your
convenience. Be voted in by the Unit Members.

WHAT IS THE INITIAL COST

Initiation Fee $__ + Dues $__ Total.

Annual dues thereafter = $__.

Unit shirt + embroidery = approximately $__

Costume cost varies by individual.

WHEN AND WHERE ARE UNIT MEETINGS HELD

Unit meetings are held at 7:30 pm, the first Monday of the Month, at Midian
